It is with the deepest and sincerest regrets that we announce the passing of long serving member JOHN PARR.

John was primarily a member of the Thesps “Monday Club” – our team of retired members who meet weekly to erect the sets for both Thespians’ plays and those of visiting theatre groups, & carry out routine maintenance on the theatre. He was also, with his wife Ann, part of the “Front of House” team during performances.

I have known John and his wife Ann, for over 40 years. He was a quiet, extremely personable, calm and reliable person, with a wry sense of humour and was a real “Gentle Man”. He bore his latter illness and treatment with fortitude and was sustained throughout by his strong faith. He will be sorely missed by us all.
