CHRISTINE PARKER
Very sadly Christine Parker passed away last night after a long illness.
For those of you who did not know her, Christine was a valuable and valued member of the Thesps for over 50 years.
She was an extremely talented and versatile actress (her timing was immaculate – something which cannot be taught) being able to play comedy & tragedy – be it in run-of-the-mill plays such as “Beside The Seaside”, in farce such as in the “Farndale Avenue” series, or classic drama such as “An Inspector Calls” and as an unforgettable “Lady Bracknell” in “The Importance of Being Earnest” – with equal success. She also was a talented producer with the Thesps and from 1983 until 2015 was the society secretary. I count myself lucky to have known her and worked with her during my 45 years with the Thesps.
