MICHAEL SKIFFINGTON
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Michael Skiffington on August 20th at the age of 59.
Michael was a talented and versatile actor and a member of the society during the 1980’s and 90’s. Amongst the many plays in which he took part were “See How They Run”, “Reluctant Heroes”, “Dry Rot” (1990), “An Inspector Calls” and “The Importance of Being Earnest”. On a personal note, I remember “Skiff” as the youngster I taught from 1975 -78 at the old St. Helens Comprehensive School in Athersley South and particularly from when he took part in “The Stirrings in Sheffield” – my first school production in 1977.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Marion and his family.
