Wow – what a show we had at the Playhouse Theatre for the finals of “Conquer The Mic” – great talent, great judges and a great responsive audience! The judges and the audience had a very tough time in sorting out the best from what was a first class set of acts on stage.

It was a tough decision but eventually the judging panel voted OLIVIA KENNINGTON-STEELE – a singer /songwriter from Barnsley – as the overall winner. She received £100.00 cash, a professional photo-shoot worth £125.00 at JFYP Studio and an overnight hotel stay at the Best Western Hotel St Pierre (Wakefield).

The Audience Runner-up Prize went to the recently formed Indie-style band “IN DENIAL”, who hail from Doncaster and Scunthorpe. They received £25.00 cash, a professional photo-shoot at JFYP Studio worth £75.00

Congratulations to the winners but also to all the acts for their time, effort and energy which gave the very appreciative audience a very memorable evening’s entertainment!

The whole event was the combined brainchild of and organised by the CTM team of FIONA GOULTY, ANDY HARRIS and ROBERT WILSON and they hope that it is the prelude to an annual event.
