It is with deep regret that we learned of the passing of Geoff Ford, on May 9th at the age of 88. Geoff was one of the longest serving members of the Thespians and was a member of the team responsible for the conversion of the former Park Street Methodist Church into the present Playhouse Theatre. Primarily, Geoff was the society’s electrician responsible for the sound effects and lighting of our productions and for many years was also a trustee of the society. Prior to his retirement he was responsible for the audio-visual aids department at the former High Melton College. Josephine (“Josie”) Ford, his late wife, was also involved with the Thesps for many years in running our tea-bar. We offer our sincerest condolences to his son, Darryl and daughter-in-law Teresa.
